The Healer Within Spiral
Where are you on the Healer Within Spiral?
Healing isn't a straight line. It's a spiral, which means you return to the same terrain again and again, but each time you arrive with more wisdom, more capacity, more trust in yourself.
The Healer Within Spiral maps four phases of that journey:
Stand | When something has cracked open and you're learning to become available to what's true, to support, to what's next. The work here isn't to understand. It's to let yourself be steadied.
Sense-Making | When curiosity stirs and you follow it - into books, practices, teachers, traditions. You're gathering understanding and slowly discerning what's actually true for you.
Sync | When the private work begins to lean outward. You're finding your people, being witnessed, and discovering that community doesn't blur your edges - it helps you find them.
Sustain | When healing stops being something you do and becomes someone you are. The practices are woven into ordinary life. You've become your own guide.
Rinse and repeat. Because of its spiral nature, no phase is “further along” than another.
Knowing where you are helps you know what you need.
People have told me that one of the most relieving things about this map is finally having language for what they're already living. To see it described and recognized — that feeling of yes, that's where I am — is itself a form of care.
Recognition is just the beginning. Taking the self-assessment moves you from seeing where you are to understanding what this phase is inviting you into, by offering practices that help you live into it.
Curious about what’s needed for the other phases? They'll be waiting for you when you return.
