The Space Between: Your Healing in this Liminal Time
There's something sacred about these days between Christmas and the New Year. The world feels suspended. We're not quite experiencing the rush of the holidays, but not yet in the momentum of January. Just... here.
If you've been feeling the pull to pause, to reflect, to sense what wants to shift as we move into 2026, you're not alone. This liminal space is inviting you to notice: Where am I on my healing journey right now?
The Healer Within Spiral
I recently published an article in Pathways Magazine's Winter issue called "The Healer Within Spiral: A Framework for Understanding Your Journey of Healing." In it, I map out what I've come to understand, through my own journey and the witnessing of others, as the four spiralic phases we move through on the path of healing:
STAND: When life cracks us open and we present ourselves to be held, fortified, and witnessed
SENSE-MAKING: When curiosity emerges and we follow it into understanding, diving into practices, teachers, and modalities
SYNC: When we begin to integrate our learning within community and shared practice
SUSTAINING: When we settle into rhythms that support our ongoing transformation
Each phase asks something different of us. Each phase requires its own kind of support and companionship. And here's what I've learned: This journey of healing is a spiral; it's not linear, nor even a cycle. The spiral loops back on itself, again and again.
You'll revisit the same themes, the same wounds, the same questions, but each time, you are elevated. For each return, you have more tools, greater awareness, and deeper trust. Knowing where you are helps you determine what you need. If you want to read the full article (and I hope you do!), you can find it here: The Healer Within Spiral - Pathways Magazine Winter Issue
An Invitation to Support Your Journey
If you're not sure where you are on the spiral right now, that's okay. Just know that wherever you are, there's support available. Whether that's a healing session to help you stand, a workshop to feed your sense-making, or simply reading the article and recognizing yourself in it - trust what resonates.
I'm honored to walk this path alongside you.
With love,
Taniesha
